1. What inspired you to create Rune Kitchen?

Rune was a concept I had been planning for years prior, inspired by my love of plant-based foods and eating for longevity. Rune really came into fruition after having an intense back/spinal surgery to have a cancerous growth removed. I really dove into adaptogens and the power of plant medicine after that.

2. Can you tell us about the featured ingredients and the brand mission?

We only use the highest quality of organic ingredients that are sourced from farms that we trust. Rune products are free from additives, preservatives, natural + artificial flavorings, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, maltodextrin, corn, and gluten.

We believe that food is medicine and that eating with intention not only nurtures the body, it nurtures the soul.

3. What is your favorite Rune Kitchen product and why?

My favorite product would have to be Potion of Relief. As someone who gets chronic migraines, it is a lifesaver. A natural pain reliever and anti-inflammatory.

4. What beauty essentials do you carry with you on a daily basis?

On a daily basis I usually have essential oils of myrrh, lavender, and patchouli on me.

5. What does beauty mean to you?

I think beauty comes from within and it is most beautiful when we are authentically ourselves while being the best versions of ourselves we can be. Being humble, while confidently ourselves is beautiful.

6. What is your morning and evening beauty routine?

In the mornings I usually wash my face with warm water and then apply organic rosewater as a toner. In the evenings I will gently exfoliate and apply rosewater + essential oils depending on how my skin is feeling. I like to listen to my skin rather than following a specific regime.

7. What’s your best beauty tip?

Rune Beautifying Potion and rosewater

8. What’s next for Rune Kitchen?

I think for most of 2020 we will be doing pop-ups around the country, spreading the word about health and wellness through our products. Next year I hope to have plans in place to open a full plant-based kitchen in Los Angeles.
