Katelynn Ansari

Katelynn Ansari is our resident lifestyle blogger that has a great and positive energy. Yes, this petite lady has a four year old son named Cash and it amazes us how she balanced being a blogging mama. She says she’s low maintenance, but for us she doesn’t look it at all. Looking at her photos, Katelynn definitely knows how to work the camera. Staying busy is what keeps Katelynn on her toes and when life gets tough; there’s always her trusty #MomJuice a.k.a wine for that.

Check out her blog and come meet her at BLUSHCON this Jan. 19-20, 2019.

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi all! My name is Katelynn Ansari, I am a lifestyle blogger with a passion for natural beauty, comfortably stylish fashion, and being the best mom I can be to my 4 year old son Cash

2. What got you interested in beauty and fashion?

Let’s see…I think I really got interested in beauty and fashion after I had my son. Back when I was modeling full-time, I learned how to do my hair and make up really well but it was only one look — total Victorias Secret glam. After I had my son, I really got confident in my own skin and my own brand as an influencer. From there I was really confident in trying new make up looks and that really sparked my interest in trying new fashion and beauty looks.

3. What’s a typical day like in your life?

Oh boy! Well, my life is a little crazy! Typically I wake up around 6:30am so I can enjoy my coffee, go workout, and respond to emails before the family wakes up. Then I’ll make a healthy breakfast for everyone and while Trav and Cash are eating, I go shower and get ready for my day. After I’m ready, I’ll get Cash ready and we go out to do something fun like the park and run my errands (typically going to the post office to mail stuff out). After that, Cash goes down for nap-time and I work some more — usually the bigger tasks like writing a blog and editing photos. From there we just play at home and I’ll wrap up my work for the day and the rest of the evening is family time and dinner time.

4. What is your morning beauty routine?

As I gear up to celebrate my 30th birthday in May, a huge focus of my morning (& night) routine is skincare! I always cleanse my skin with Dermalogica at night so in the morning, I just splash cold water on my face. I want to keep my skin hydrated and not strip away my natural oils by cleansing again. After that, I use a rose water toner with witch hazel — it’s one of my favorite drugstore finds! Then I hydrate and protect: I use Dermalogica skin smoothing cream and the multivitamin eye cream followed by Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen and Pūrlisse’s BB Cream in medium deep (it’s my favorite BB Cream).

As for makeup, I can’t leave the house without doing my eyebrows and adding some bronzer contour.

5. What are your must have beauty supplies you take everywhere you go?

Oh gosh, becoming a mom has made me so low maintenance. I can’t leave the house without hand lotion and chapstick. There’s really nothing worse than dry hands and lips…gahhh, just thinking about it is like nails on a chalkboard

6. What is your best beauty tip?

My best beauty tip would be to prevent aging and invest your money in skincare as soon as possible! Makeup looks way better on clear, youthful skin and once youthful skin is gone, it’s gone! Protect it from the sun, hydrate it, and revive it with facials.

7. What are your favorite fashion brands?

I’m really just a jeans a t-shirt kind of girl so I really like Express and Nordstrom but if I want to venture outside the box for a special occasion, I really like Lulus or Shop Red Dress for affordable and fashion forward finds

8. What are your go-to clothing items?

Oops. I kind of answered this question already. Like I said, I love distressed denim and t-shirts because they can be dressed up so easily. If it’s cold, I can throw on a blazer and heels for a polished look or dress it down with some ankle booties and a cute flannel

9. What is your next project?

I’m hoping that my next project is another baby so we’ll see but I am really focused on my blog and continuing to motivate others to pursue their dreams regardless of how wild they may be.
